LCP MARIO T. DIONISIO, JR.
LIFE-CHANGING PRESIDENT
Brief Profile:
LCP ATTY. MARIO T. DIONISIO JR hails from the Province of Aklan more particularly from Barangay Afga in the Municipality of Tangalan.
He is the youngest among the three (3) children of the couple Teresita Tano-an and Mario Dionisio whose forebears are also native of Aklan. His father died when he was still an infant. To survive the vicissitudes of life, his mother decided to work as house helper in Manila leaving them behind in the care and custody of relatives who took the cudgels of raising and rearing them in a rural area.
He is married to Belinda Vargas-Dionisio who is an Elementary School Principal in Vicente Lim Elementary School in Tondo, Manila. He has one child named Jorge Marion Dionisio who is a freshman college student in Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM) taking up Bachelor of Arts and Communication.
Atty. Dionisio finished his elementary education at the Tangalan Elementary School. He went to Tangalan National High School. He then entered College as a scholarship grantee of Allen S. Quimpo (ASQ) Scholarship Program, finishing a degree in B. S. Criminology as Cum Laude at the Northwestern Visayan Colleges. He took up Law at the Manuel L. Quezon University as a working and self-supporting student. He initially worked as a Security Guard, promoted later on as the Security Officer but decided to resign when he was given an assignment which is conflict to his scheduled classes during his fourth year in Law School. He transferred to the government where he worked as a Clerk at the National Tax Research Center and promoted to a technical position as Tax Specialist.
Upon admission in the Bar, Atty. Dionisio applied at the Public Attorney’s Office (PAO) and was appointed as Public Attorney II at the Manila District Office in August 2007. He has become a herald of hope to the indigents and other clients of the PAO who are searching for justice. He was later promoted to Public Attorney III. He is presently the District Head or the Officer-in-Charge of the PAO Manila District Office.
He is a member of Integrated Bar of the Philippines, Manila 1 (J.B.L. Reyes) Chapter where he served as its President in 2017 to 2019. He is also a member of Task Force Kalayaan at Katarungan representing PAO. Likewise, he is the Vice Chairperson of the Regional Juvenile and Justice Welfare Committee- National Capital Region (RJJWC-NCR).
